Tower Technician Apprentice
FordCom does not require prior experience. We only require a passion to learn and a strong work ethic. We offer initial and ongoing on-the-job training in our Apprentice Program. You will determine your success. And we will help every way we can. You must also be able to pass a new hire drug test, have a clean driving record, and pass a pre-employment physical. Tower Technicians are responsible for performing general repair and maintenance on communications towers, rooftops, and other structures. This position involves daily travel. Each individual must be able to climb at heights (up to 500 feet).

Qualifications
– Valid driver’s license with good driving record
– Background and MVR check
– Pass drug test and pre-employment physical
– Achieve and maintain required certifications and training
– Telecom or construction experience preferred but will provide on the job training as needed
– Commercial/residential electrical experience preferred
– Ability to read blueprints, details, and specifications
– Cald-weld or other thermos-weld training a plus
